We've already made a huge difference for more than 20,000 women
About the Project
I’m Alicia Harris and I’m so happy you are here! Shattered But Never Broken was birth in 2016 and since then we have seen lives changed. But I don’t want you to just buy into this with no evidence, so here’s a little history of how we got started. While servicing individuals throughout my life for over ten years, I have built a life assisting them with finding housing, substance abuse rehab, finding the resources to social security, going to doctor appointments, attending colleges, and more… I realize that I should start my own non-profit organization helping people grab a hold to the resources that may not be readily available to them. I just so happened to have a passion for women with children! No matter what their situation is, they have been constantly put in circumstances that cause them great distress. There was great discouragement in the midst of building something great, but I just kept hearing my favorite scripture in my head.

“I can do all things through Christ that strengthen me” ~Philippians 4:13

For over 23 years I‘ve served as a Mental Health Counselor and within those years I’ve added Substance Abuse Counseling and Certified DUI Instructor to my experience; with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, BA in Psychology, and an Associates in Human Services I’ve learned a lot, but nothing compares to the passion I gained from growing up in my family. I inherited my parent’s golden heart and unbreakable spirit. I am not afraid to work hard and give my all to individuals and families who need someone that's passionate, caring, and shows empathy without being biased. My own experience has shaped the way I see and serve each individual that I encounter. As a young child around the age of nine years old, I enjoyed helping people throughout the community. I would assist my family in servicing others who needed assistance with different situations. My family would give anybody food, clothes, and even money to assist with utility bills and etc. My dad would give you the shirt off his back if you need it. I was raised by a quote that said, ‘A family that prays together stays together. We always assisted other people no matter what they needed. We would call around to each family home and see who is willing to assist the family in need.

I’m hopeful for the future of Shattered But Never Broken and this is what I see! I hope to see SNB owning at least 4 to 5 acres of land for a future- housing complex (Angel Paradise Place). Housing at least 150 units. This complex will provide multiple bedroom units for families in need of affordable housing with the preservation of permanent and transitional rental housing for low-income groups, single mothers, families, and people with special needs. This complex will offer several community amenities. Ideally, the land for this complex will be in a rural area that provides a safe environment for the residents. SNB will seek community organizations to collaborate and partner with us to fulfill the organization’s mission. Not only that but very soon SNB will host educational and community outreach programs! I believe there is nothing we can’t do and I can’t wait for me and my team to serve you!
